Mildenhall Brickworks

The Suffolk Heritage Explorer lists Mildenhall Brickworks as monument record MNL 331, Mildenhall brickworks and kiln. Shown on 1882 OS map with various outbuildings, racks? etc.

Various operators from Jane Webb in 1839 to Arthur Vale between 1904 and 1916. Listed in Suffolk Industrial Archaeology newsletter, 23, September, 1988.

The area today

As can be seen from the Suffolk Heritage Explorer map there is no trace of the brickworks remaining today, except for the name Brick Kiln Road, which replaces the old access lane up to the works off the Brandon Road.
