GI and Bride

Mystery GI's Wedding

Do you recognise our mystery couple?

Discovered in a tiny antique shop in historic Bury St Edmunds - this wonderfully happy photograph of a beautiful GI bride and her new husband, who, judging by his uniform, we think was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force some time after 1947.

The high quality hand coloured photograph is printed on thick card, and measures about 13.5 inches by 10 inches. It is set within an ornate brass frame, whose border includes daisy-like flowers and acanthus leaves.

Do you know the identity of the mystery couple? If so, please let us know - we'd love to know if they had local connections!
